Thursday, March 15, 2012 - In Beaune. Decanted and served blind. After arriving to the fact that it was Lafon Genevrieres, we couldn't have been further from 2003. It displayed none of the ripeness or lack of acidity that is often found. There was a fantastic mix of juicy lemon and mineral with a bit of smoke as well. Great concentration of fruit on the palate with nice mineral structure. Lengthy finish with good acidity.
