Friday, May 5, 2006 - Pretty 14K golden color – somewhat rich and mature looking for Pinot blanc. Pure pear and apple cider on the nose with a hint of clove spice and a bit of yeast. Rich and refined on the palate – the cider notes continue, but there is a balancing sweetness (though this is certainly dry) that is very appealing – this is a very food friendly wine. This is unusual and definitely mature. Very complex. Surprisingly, the wine gets better with air. Superb Pinot Blanc.(16?)
