Friday, October 19, 2012 - This wine is a clean and clear, translucent garnet color in the glass. The aroma is a little tight for the varietal and reminds me of strawberry, cranberry, and a faint smell of bret. The tastes are sour cherry, subtle indian spice, cranberry, and rose. The tannins are very fine but with firm grip and seem derived from fruit since they are prominent at the front of the mouth. The acidity is bright and the finish is long. This wine is elegant and structured and might benefit from a little more aging.
