Wednesday, March 14, 2012 - Deep ruby, slight legs on the glass. Pronounced oak aromas with some sour cherry and spice. Dry, fresh in the mouth but tannins quite drying leading to a bitter end. Sour cherry fruit starting to fade , secondary flavours starting to develop. Long finish but marred by being bitter... Overall OK but to be honest a bit disappointing - difficult to say if it should have been drunk younger or if it needs more time to settle down - but I worry that the bitterness is there to stay.
