Saturday, December 26, 2020 - Last of 4 bottles purchased on close out in 2018. None have lived up to other CT tasters notes (and given this is a Brunello, not Caymus, I don't think I would be an outlier) and my expectations of this wine relative to tasting in 2 other vintages around a similar age. Assume my bottle was not stored properly for a period of time before it go to me as this wine was tired so keep that in mind relative to my note.

Brownish/red color. On nose, leather, dried blackberry, dried cherry and mushrooms. Medium+ body, medium+ acidity, medium tannins and long finish. Palate had similar flavor profile to nose. While I don't expect bright fruit at age 12, this wine's nose/palate was on the dry, almost stewed spectrum. Rated this a 91+/- despite note above. Will continue to buy this wine in future, but upon release!
