Thursday, April 18, 2019 - From our cellar. Still in it's prime and drinking great. Similar to 3 years ago, with a bit more secondary characteristics. Decanted for sediment drank over a 4 hour window and held up well. Should have several more years at this level. Still lots of fruit but not sweet, good cedar, earth and slate notes as well. Not sure it can get any better. Very elegant even though it's a medium-heavy weight wine. Clear, dark ruby color with barely any bricking. Lovely bouquet, no brett. Tannins mostly resolved. Great structure, making it perfect for a ribeye steak.
