Wednesday, July 18, 2018 - PnP for a fried chicken dinner

-color:lemon oil yellow
-body: by appearance, this is a thick, medium+ body champagne and this bears out on the palate.
-aroma: strong mix of apple pastry, marzipan, lemon zest, pear skin and the classic yeasty notes
-palate:red apple, almond paste, and pear richness on the front of the tongue segues into a lemon zest flavored breadiness, acidity is medium verging on medium plus. There's a crispness and a lemon extract flavor that seems to linger on the tongue and the lips.

There's a rich mouthfeel to this champagne, more than I would expect from a 10g/l dosage. When paired with Popeyes' spicy fried chicken, this is a decent champagne, a little heavy on the lemon flavor but the extra dosage helps with the spice.
