Wednesday, April 7, 2021 - Just really starting to enter its drinking window. Still primary. Purchased at release, this was unusual as it threw NO sediment. No browning. NIce aromas of blackberry, plum, spice, anise, leather, pencil shavings, a hint of herbs and forest floor. Showing a lot of flavor mirroring the nose. Not showing any secondary character yet. I prefer them at 15+ years and this easily has 15-20 years ahead of it. Really good now, but the best is to come.

Agree, the 2010 is just entering its prime enjoyment and its very tasty. I am just now going back to the 2007 to 2010's. I had to skip over the 2011 it improved with time but not a good year for Montelena.
