Wednesday, December 7, 2022 - This particular bottle may have been slightly corked, but the wine was convincing and pleasant anyway. The tannins had already softened, but there was still plenty of fruit left. The aromas and flavors of dark fruits and berries, herbs and spices were appealing, but the wine is also providing interesting notes of metal, minerals and smoke, maybe due to aging. As a whole, the wine was rich and balanced now. It went really well with the reindeer flat bone meat during the evening meal of the Finnish Independence Day.
