Saturday, November 28, 2020 - Pop and pour, and even with a durand the cork broke. Yesterday, this was a lovely old, dusty cab. Notes from Day 2 open, unrefrigerated on the counter overnight. On the nose: soft vegetal notes, dusty leather, cedar, dried raspberry and blackberry. On the palate: softer acid than I would like at first, but the cherry liqueur and dried raspberry play very well with the acidity present; very good density and this turns up a bit on the finish: a bit more acidic tang and soft, very finely grained tannin. Totally classic and gorgeous...
