Wednesday, January 29, 2014 - Dark garnet. Decanted for two hours. Slightly muted aromas of blackberry, cherry, mocha, flowers, and minerals (i believe this is a timing issue). The aromas started to open up with a little more time. Soft and lush palate, but a touch light on acid. The alcohol goes on unnoticed, so overall the balance is decent. For $35, this was a very nice wine with a lot of character.
