Thursday, September 24, 2020 - Drinking great right now !! A perfect cork after 9+ years in the bootle. Consumed over two days. Fruit burst on the first day, very lively and a great complement to grilled protein and bar-b-que. On day two this balanced wine really shined; it had softened with increased depth and integrated complexity. Medium ruby color with no oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of black cherry and blackberry. Flavors of black currant, cola, plum, and a hint of chocolate. This "California" zinfandel has a medium finish and is balanced and flavorful. This age worthy wine has more years of life left. A good winemaking effort in a challenging growing year.
