Thursday, February 24, 2022 - Wow, what a unique nose. Difficult to describe aromas of day-after blackened fire logs left to smolder and road tar. Loaded with animale and barnyard. Medium-bodied at best with high acidity and grippy tannins. Not much fruit, but there is some distinct black cherry and cranberry as well as rosemary, thyme and fennel. This is thoroughly neat! But seems like this would have been better 5 years ago. Slight salinity adds interest to the clean and medium-long finish. This wine's interest and uniqueness punches way above the quality score. 92
