Saturday, January 31, 2015 - raisins drenched in brandy, plum, saddle leather, shoe polish, cherries. There is a distinct raisiny zinfandel nose including some early signs of maturity on the nose. On the palate, the freshness cuts through everything and the tannic traces and heat and oak are beginning to integrate. Very hard to tell what will come out in five plus years time. Right now it feels like its caught in the middle between fresh ripe fruit and aged complexity, without really showcasing either side too well.
