Friday, December 6, 2019 - Woodwinters Edinburgh Fine Wine Bash (Woodwinters Edinburgh): Wine of the night for me, given the price. Very dark garnet colour. Fragrant violet(?) nose. Blueberry and blackcurrant, sweet taste, a little tannin. Really easygoing and quite ravishing. A stalwart at the table described it, half jokingly, as pizza wine, and he was right - this would be a great pairing with the best pizza you can find (or make). 14.3% abv; Woodwinters, £52].
