Monday, December 28, 2009 - Beautifully matured second growth Bordeaux. Exquisite deep red colour, with slight quarry tile tinge at the edge. This was the third bottle I have tasted in the last three months since buying from a friend. Impeccable provenance, and I have to say this third bottle was outstanding and better than the earlier two; perhaps it has now settled fully in my cellar. Floral nose with a woody edge. Beautifully integrated wine, with strong dark fruits and neither acid nor tannin to the fore to spoil the pleasure. Drank this with some family members who are not normally fine wine drinkers and they all thought it was a beautiful wine. I think this will keep yet, but I am planning to drink the other 9 bottles in the next 18 months to be on the safe side.
