Saturday, March 11, 2017 - Dried out crumbling cork. Slightly garnet. Sweet cherry with woody nose. Sweet cherry, blackberry and red plum with some cedar. Forty seven years and still great.

    3/12/2017 5:44:00 AM - Could you please tell me what size bottle you had and did you decant it, slow ox it, if so, how long. I have, in the back of my cellar, a double magnum which I bought back in the late 70's. It seemed like a good idea at the time but I am always waiting for a big party to open it and it never seems the right time as you need quite a few people to take down a double magnum and to top that off most of my wine friends are either Syrah, Zinfandel or Rhone wine drinkers. Thank you.
