Thursday, June 21, 2018 - shared with pat at selkirk manor. celebrating summer solstice. passed over this wine several times due to lack of feedback from others and reputation for longevity from this producer. the wine proved to be in sound condition. paired with baked halibut. slightly golden color. fragrant nose. lots of yellow fruit on the palate. well integrated oak. some toastiness. light acidity. strong finish. wish i had bought more although i don't think i would hold onto this much longer. an eight year run for a cali chard is pretty good.
