Monday, May 29, 2017 - Made of 100% Pinot Noir, the framboise in the glass and on the nose is unmistakable. The mousse still roils with activity even though poured this time into Reidel Somm. glasses. But as always, the bubbles are a touch coarse, but not as much as usual. Strawberries and cream, just as this wine always seems to produce, rise from the glass and glance across the palate. Yet, the finish is almost always basil, and this time is no different. Delicious, as always. 12% alc. With grilled duck (much better grilled using more indirect heat this time than on Saturday) with leftover wild rice. Recommended.
