2011 Ridge Monte Bello

Monday, September 24, 2018 - This is serious stuff. The colour is beautiful with a slightly evolved appearance. The wine is deep, with multiple layers of complex aromas: strawberries, eucalyptus, leather and a touch of barnyard (far less than what I usually get in this wine). This is high quality wine (Latour of California as many say) that will continue to evolve for many years, even though you can enjoy it now (I'd recommend a minimum of 45 minutes in the decanter). Drink or hold until 2030.

8/29/2020 4:26:00 PM - Just reading your comments about MB. I do love these wines and was looking into buying a couple of 2011 since it is only $200 in the UK. Shame we don't get enough of it in QC, however, I am a huge fan of their Lytton Spring Zin, this is old school California
