Wednesday, December 7, 2022 - Tasted at the Produttori with Aldo Vacca. The wine was coravined. It was medium to dark garnet with a slightly bricked edge. The nose was quite floral, earthy and spicy with minerals sous bois and dried fruit/raisins. Palate had medium(+) acidity and tannin and a rich, chewy texture. Very savory on the mid palate and long on the finish with some dried cherry and and baking spice. This is deep rich and complex but seems to be tiring a bit. I would suggest this hot vintage is in need of drinking up. It is possible that this needs a good bit more air than in our tasting which could make this show better.
