Friday, December 25, 2015 - Christmas Day Dinner 2015 at Table At 7 (Table at 7): Note from memory. Poured into decanter. Drank after 2 hours of air.
Appearance is clear, deep intensity, ruby colour, bricking edges. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of smoky toasted oak, black cherries, earth, tobacco, licorice. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, high alcohol (14.5%), fine high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of smoky toasted oak, black cherries, earth, licorice, tobacco. Long finish. Young and so much power bridling within.
Very good quality. Give this at least another 4-5 years for more development.
Blend of 3 vineyards. Modern style.
