Thursday, May 28, 2015 - From a magum purchased upon release and cellared in pristine condition, this wine was brought to a restaurant for a dinner celebration with friends. Deep ruby and immediately intensely fragrant, it offers blackberry, garrigue, spice box, lavender and leather aromas. Full-bodied, fresh and with medium-weight, sweet tannins, it follows with flavors which mirror the nose. Listed as 14.5%, the alcohol shows no heat. Solid in the middle and very long on the finish, this wine remains youthful but is beginning to show some lovely secondary characteristics as a result of time in the cellar. It should provide pleasure for several more years. Drink now-2024.
