Thursday, May 5, 2022 - Opened four hours prior to tasting. Brilliant ruby hue with bricking on the edges. The nose was incredible; cherry, old leather, box of old nails, garrigue, hint of tobacco. Still fruit forward on the palate, but firm, well structured. More flavors of funky cherry, iron, sous bois. Nice acidity keeps things lively for an 18-year old CdP. Finishes a bit short, but plenty of flavor. A bit drying by the end of the bottle. Really enjoyable. Drink ‘em if ya got ‘em.
