Smells like berry juice (black currant, blackberry), "scorched earth"/ burnt tortilla, dark chocolate, cigar tobacco; has a streak of sappy, rooty freshness; oak is evident, but moderate and not out of place. On the palate, a little less characterful, but enjoyable enough. Berries, earth, and dark chocolate flavors are fairly cohesive; medium-full bodied; fairly dry, only a hint of sweetness; decent acidity. I'm not really a Napa cab fan, but this isn't bad; seems like a good value.
