94 Points

Tuesday, October 2, 2018 - Started out ruby in color but by day 4 became opaque, with aromas of black cherry, blackberry, pomegranate, and leather. The improvement by day 5 was dramatic. Enters the mouth with strong, surprisingly complete, upfront, and balanced fruit, acid, and tannin. The texture verges on being rounded and caressing. The swallow is the crowning glory of the taste, both highly delicious and integrated. Overall, went from being a good Brunello to being one of the best I have had this year.
