Friday, December 15, 2023 - A glorious deep, velvety, beautifully formed and perfectly pitched Bordeaux. Full bodied with endless depth, classicist restraint, yet nothing that I’d consider austere. The Cab Franc really shows, with tobacco leaf and an earthy, graphite tinged savoury feel to the dark berry flavours. All the parts are well integrated and the wine comes across as confident, ready, unforced and completely satisfying. More complexity will undoubtedly come with age, but I have no regrets for drinking this now (…I just need to save up for some more).
