Tuesday, March 26, 2024 - First have to say this was drank alongside a magnificent 1988 Sassicaia so the competition was tough.

This has very strong tertiary notes, from those I'd have guessed this wine was 20+ years old, however at the same time the tannins are not yet fully integrated so it was somewhat chewy.

I've got another bottle that I'll probably hold at least 10 years - I'm curious as to whether by the time the tannins have resolved there is still enough freshness to make it enjoyable.
