Sunday, September 13, 2015 - Checking in on some younger Bordeaux and other treasures with a fellow collector friend. Medium Ruby. Nose of cedar, a touch of barnyard, dark fruit, coffee, oak, very much in the well known Lafite/Lalande cigar box style. On the palate this is quite light on the mid palate but the balance is good and the tannins are soft. A very elegant wine without hard edges, great with food. Wait till 2017 and then drink it over the next 5 years while waiting for the 2010 to come around.
