Monday, August 14, 2023 - Was served by the glass at Cafe Lavinal in Pauillac, village of Bages. Fifth Growth property with extensive 100 ha vineyard. Made from a blend of 72% CS, 23% Merlot, 3% CF and 2% PV, aged for 15 months in oak, 65% new. Deep garnet colour. Intense and savoury aroma of spices, plums, cassis, tobacco, chocolate, spices. Medium+ body not as expressive as aroma, but shows good concentration and spiced and smoky layered flavours, some prunes cassis and vanilla as well, concludes with finely grained velvety tannins.
