Thursday, November 2, 2023 - Wow! This was a really impressive bottle—perfectly stored and aging incredibly gracefully. The first impression here is and incredible round richness of fruit—blackberry and black currant cake to mind. Behind that, you get some other classic secondaries—powerful herbs (sage?) and a nice rich leather and oak combination with maybe a touch of a grilled meat thing. The fruit is still the standout, though. Still incredibly pronounced for a wine that is otherwise showing it’s age in smooth elegance. If I had to find a fault, it’s that the fruit is so strong it makes it hard to read anything else at first. Drink now if you have a bottle!
