Thursday, April 25, 2013 - Very different from the 03 drank in the same night. The 04 had bright cherry flavors, light on the palate, and had much more prevalent tannins, the opposite of the 03. Still very much enjoyed this wine but was not what I expected from du Pape. Clearly this must have been a cooler vintage because this wine drank light and elegant rather than big and mouth filling.
