Saturday, September 7, 2019 - I have never been a fan of concentrated, modern-styled Bordeaux and preferred the classic Bordeaux. However the 1976 Cheval Blanc was diluted and dull, very unusual as I rarely find Bordeaux truly ‘diluted’. This 1976 Cheval Blanc is fully matured and offers a savoury nose of forest floor, black tea, earthy mushroom, ultraripe fruits fading away. Fully developed but not complex. Drink up. (84/100)
