Sunday, August 28, 2016 - The '64 Poyferré is an attractive wine from an era in which this estate seems to be a touch under-rated. A classic bouquet of cassis, cedar and gravely soil tones is followed by a juicy, supple wine with plenty of fruit and energy. This isn't on the level of the best '64 Médocs I've tasted, including Latour and Pichon Lalande, but it is a lovely drink.
