Thursday, May 17, 2012 - Opened 30 minutes prior and followed over an hour. Tawny rim and pale ochre body. I didn't know what to expect with this. Definitely not a blockbuster. This was an almost reticent nose, opening over time and reluctantly showing sweet garrigue and sous bois notes. Palate was silky smooth, high toned fragrant rasperry notes pairing off against an acidic and mineral backbone. Very floral character to the fruit here.

This was much lighter on its feet than I would have thought, and reminded me of a good older Burgundy. Ethereal and captivating.
