Saturday, October 26, 2002 - Consumed with dinner at the Brasserie. Simply speaking, this is the best Champagne that I have ever had the pleasure of drinking. Medium straw in color, with a brisk bead of tiny bubbles. Very intense, complex nose showing toast, nutmeg, bread dough, smoke, pear and sawdust. Amazingly creamy on the palate, with crisp acidity and similar complex flavors as for the nose. The finish seems to linger forever.
