Wednesday, September 16, 2015 - 2009 was a hot year. Decanted 1 hr. ahead. Very deep garnet color, fading just a bit at the edges. Rich nose of red and black fruits, coffee notes, white pepper, roasted vanilla. Full-bodied on the palate, with black fruit compote leading. Finishes fast with some heat, light tannins. A little cooked, but drinkable.
