Thursday, November 27, 2014 - We had this gorgeous wine in a Eurpean mix session with old and great burgundy, German Pinot Noir and Barolo. This wine was really singing and marvellously complex but still fresh due its healthy acidity. The initial mushroom nose cleared very fast and let the dark fruits, plums and piedmont flavors (if garrigue is typical Provence, I think there is a similar taste in Piedmont, but I am missing the word, mayb tartufiato? ;-). Great showing of a well aged high class Nebbiolo on the fine side of life.
