Community Tasting Note

Thursday, September 19, 2019 - Ideally cellared bottle. Needs time to open up. Expressive nose displaying very ripe red and black fruit, raspberry liqueur, blackberry jam, fruitcake, lavender, charred rare steak, a hint of tapenade, tobacco, cinnamon and nutmeg, and earthy mineral. Exceptional concentration, nicely layered incredibly concentrated ripe black fruit, rich and unctuous, good acidity, fully resolved tannins and a long very ripe black fruit driven finish with sweet spices and blood at the end. A bit too ripe for my palate. There is a suggestion of mature super cuvee CDP.
