Thursday, November 8, 2018 - 2018 Villa d’Este Wine Symposium – Kelly, RJ, Justin and Kevin's excellent adventure; 11/7/2018-11/11/2018 (Villa D’este, Lake Como): Served blind. Medium expressive nose displaying shy dry yellow fruit, strong almond paste, roasted almond, burnt sugar and steely mineral. Very good concentration, subtle yellow fruit, bright acidity, steely mineral and a medium long subtle yellow fruit driven finish with strong almond cookie at the end. I am guessing Aussie pinot blanc. After revealing, the overall impression, especially steely mineral and almond paste, reminds me stony hill Chardonnay.
