90 Points

Thursday, August 15, 2013 - The jolly-ness continues... as always, a delightful bottle of Steve Edmunds' gamay. While this wine might lack the distinct sense of place found in the best crus beaujolais, it compensates with impeccable balance and unmatched liveliness on the palate. Bright red fruits in abundance and bracing acidity make it a perfect match with summertime foods - we had it with grilled portobello 'shrooms, fresh corn, and salad. With a light chill, then popped and poured, almost impossible to stop sipping.
