Thursday, October 18, 2012 - Youthful green color with a slightly neon yellow hue. Rich, fruity nose with aromas of ripe and sweet apple, juicy citrus fruits and pear peel. Dry, light and refreshing palate with moderate acidity. Fruity flavors of citrus, green apple and some aromatic herbs. Medium-length finish with flavors of citrus fruits, some refreshing herbal notes and a hint of chalky minerality.

A surprisingly decent Pinot Grigio, but still bears all the hallmarks of the style: this is really light, simple and mundane. There is a bit more depth to it if compared to the less impressive examples of the style, but still is very pedestrian everyday stuff without anything to make me interested. Although a better wine than your average Italian pinot Grigio, this is still an Italian Pinot Grigio - really boring stuff. Honestly, I got bored before I finished my first glass. Pales in comparison to the best examples of the same variety made in Aosta Valley or in Friuli. At 15,33€, this is a ripoff.
