Saturday, August 6, 2011 - Deep red/purple color. Complex aromas of black fruits, mocha, violets, cedar and spices. Rich, lush chocolaty fruit in the mouth with excellent depth and length. The tannins were very well-integrated and the wine was sauve and silky on the palate. Similar in style to a great Australian shiraz but a touch more structured and less hot. Delicious with the mixed grill at Retaurant 943. At beginning of peak drinking period.
