Sunday, December 23, 2012 - Not decanted, consumed over ~1 hour. Intense on the palate, kirschy fruit with a bit of peppery spice and a whiff of something like toffee. Ample acids and unobtrusive tannins. This started out fairly closed but slowly opened up...it deserved more time than I gave it.
(I should really just stop opening Tolo wines when I don't have a decanter handy and/or multiple hours to wait - the end of the bottle is pretty much always the best, regardless of how long it's been open.)
