Saturday, December 31, 2022 - For NYE dinner. Had the bottle upright for 4 hours prior to decanting slowly under light below. Ended up about 1/2 inch with sediment left in the bottle. Mocha and oak on the nose. Taste begins with dark fruit, spice, chocolate and oak in that order. Still austere enough to require a fatty meat to tame. Excellent.
