Wednesday, May 22, 2013 - A tremendous blockbuster of a wine. Massive, but it remains true to its Syrah roots with an appealing dark mineral driven flavor profile. Crazy-high 15.8% alcohol but it never feels heavy handed. Shafer has a great bottling here and though it's not cheap I think it delivers more enjoyment than most $60 Napa Cabs will.
