Sunday, September 4, 2016 - Dark garnet, totally opaque. Very viscous, coating the glass. Aroma of blackberries with charred oak. Very full-bodied but thick and heavy, very high alcohol burning the palate. One-dimensional, all power but little charm or complexity. Became more tannic with each sip. It's probably a well-made wine but too big and coarse for my taste. My score reflects just my personal taste. Maybe I can find a friend who wants to trade for my remaining bottles!
