Saturday, February 10, 2018 - Popped and poured. This is black juice. Expect your tongue to be stained. There is some mild sediment at the end, but not enough to demand decanting. On the nose, this has intense black fruits, coupled with smoke and char. In the mouth, I get concentrated black fruit; the flavor is deep and rich, but has a slight burn to it. The finish is chewy with the dark atomic fruit blast lingering through. Overall, this is a very distinctive bottle of wine. The tannin has been absorbed, so this is ready to go. Pony up! 92 points.
