Monday, June 24, 2013 - Inviting raspberry and fresh cut rhubarb aromas. Round entry, semi-sweet and über juicy. Red fruited from entry to end. This is layered with cherry juice, cranberry, with the tartness of the cranberry carrying through to the finish and seeming to wash over an undercurrent of salinity. There is a lingering, tart finish. No hard edges here. I found the mid palate fruit energetic and generous. 91

6/25/2013 6:59:00 AM - Thanks for the note. I have had several bottles of this already since it was released and one of the better 2011s I have found in CA. Did you notice any barnyard notes in yours, either in the aromatic or palate?

6/25/2013 8:06:00 AM - Hi Frank. No, not at all (and I'm sensitive to it). I was looking for it based upon your earlier note. It was clean and excellent. I actually picked this up to try it based upon your last note and the WB thread. Thank you for the recommendation.

6/25/2013 1:22:00 PM - I found a trace of it in my recent bottle but it was faint. Interesting how one has it, another does not, and the bottle that first turned my head I didn't notice it, much like the most recent one that was just faint.
