Wednesday, May 26, 2010 - This wine was tight upon opening. After aeration and sitting for 30 minute, a bouquet of blackberries,dark plum, leather, tobacco, and cedar emerged. Medium plus acidity, alcohol, and body. Medium tannins, and flavors of black cherry, plum, leather, and cocoa. This wine is still a bit rough around the edges, and another year or two in the cellar may bring it into balance. Overall a lovely wine now with aeration, but hopefully will improve with age.
